How you will impact WestRock:
Provide mechanical and technical service support on equipment, including machine repairs, overhaul, and modification on site.
Adhere to Company Safety, Hygiene, Environmental & Quality policies and procedures.
Identify the root cause of machinery issues (electric or mechanical), and develop and execute remediation plans
Partner with machine operators and production maintenance resources to ensure effective equipment operations
Demonstrate the ability to work in a challenging and interesting environment.
Have the ability to adopt a flexible and reactive approach to support production in recovering machine breakdowns.
Perform testing, including assisting production acceptance tests, to ensure WestRock meets any contract requirements
Build and maintain relationships throughout the organisation
Provide support to customers’ maintenance programs
What you need to succeed:
3 to 5 years of experience as a mechanical or electrical engineer
Advanced electrical fault finding skills
Advanced mechanical skills
Proven track record of problem-solving and analytical skills
Work strictly within the current Health and Safety guidelines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A working knowledge of PLC/microprocessor controlled production equipment
The ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematics
A working knowledge of computerised maintenance databases
