About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join our Highways team to work in Maidstone, Kent.
What you'll be doing
As a Planner, your main responsibilities will be as follows:-
Ensuring that the programme content is functionally compliant with the planning standards, procedures and guidance;
Identifying planning scope, major constraints and contract requirements;
Identifying major quantities andfactors affecting the programme;
Establishing and agreeing with Operations construction outputs and agree working hours with appropriate Estimator;
Establishing and agreeing with Operations and Bid Team key methods of construction, sequencing, installation and commissioning.
Who we're looking for
The following experience/qualifications are required:-
Skills from the CSUK Planning Development and Gap Analysis Tool;
Operational experience (ie site engineer/site agent) plus some experience of planning services in small to medium sized projects within the construction and engineering industry;
Skills in the use of planning techniques and the required planning toolsets;
Relevant CSCS card;
An understanding of the events that initiate, and of the methods used to demonstrate, delay or change entitlement.
