About the Role:

Our UK tunnelling team, headed up by industry renowned leaders, is seeking to grow by recruiting experts. We have worked on nationally important projects typically in the utility market but are also expanding into rail and road tunnel projects. You will become a member of a friendly local team with links to a global pool of experts.
We are seeking principal engineers with design and construction experience, both office and site based, to work on significant infrastructure projects in the UK.

A typical week would include:
Working as part of the wider team to deliver excellence and value to the client.
Developing your ideas and those of the team to fulfil the client’s requirements.
Being a technical expert and being able to articulate that expertise to colleagues and clients
Quality Assurance and review of technical deliverables
Experience in producing drawings, technical reports and calculations as an effective means of communicating ideas.
Representing WSP through industry engagement.
Taking the lead, motivating and developing junior colleagues.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
Significant relevant experience
A minimum qualification of BEng or similar in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering discipline.
Achieved chartered status with ICE, MIMM or similar institution affiliated to the UK Engineering Council
Experience of motivational and enthusiastic leadership
The ability to drive work winning and build existing and new client relationships.
Aspirations to be an industry leader, authoring papers and presenting at conferences.
