Drilling Supplies and Hire Services, part of the RSK Group Ltd, is a supply and engineering company that services Site Investigation, Geothermal and Water well Markets. We have a range of CNC lathes, manual miller machines, Steel Bandsaw`s, pillar drills, welding and brazing activities in our shop, with a wide product range of stock items for our customer base. Full training is given but the ideal candidate must have an NVQ qualification in Mechanical engineering, experience is not essential.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join the team managing the CNC machinery in-house. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to work in our busy, dynamic engineering department.

CNC Mechanical Engineer – Newcastle upon Tyne
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on CNC Machinery
Solving minor issues on machines
Identifying, logging, planning and carrying out preventative repairs
Conducting regular machine diagnostics
Manual setting, turning and running preset programs
Understanding CAD drawings
Experience of Mechanical Maintenance (CNC)
Manufacturing background is preferable but not essential
NVQ in CNC operations or equivalent
Mechanical maintenance skills
Manufacturing skills and knowledge
Strong work ethic
