Logistics done differently.
We’re looking for a Mobile Facilities Maintenance Engineer based in the Midlands to support the maintenance of our sites in Hinckley, Birmingham, Doncaster and West Hallam (Ilkeston). Each operation is different, so this will be a varied role with no two days the same. You’ll be supporting our sites with facilities and work within the wider team to cover planned and reactive work to our on-site facilities.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re offering a salary of up between £32,000 and £34,000 per annum for this role, plus overtime and on-call payments. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
Carry out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repair work across three different operations – this could be anything from repairing defective equipment, such as a machinery breakdown situation, to repairing a leaking pipe
Maintain and inspect dock levellers to ensure that they’re working both smoothly and safely
Be available throughout the working week on an ‘on call’ basis – this will be 2 weeks on, 4 weeks off
What you need to succeed at XPO:
An electrical engineering apprenticeship (ideal) as well as exposure to commercial facilities maintenance
17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations training and inspection and testing qualification (highly desirable)
A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to be on an ‘on call’ rota
Be part of something big. #LI-DJ1
