Zurich Insurance UK is expanding its DevOps team to meet the increasing demand for application development, DevOps practices and innovation. The DevOps team is helping the business transform by improving efficiency and by putting the customer at the heart of everything we do via our digital transformation work.
You will contribute to the development of new and existing applications for Zurich specifically within the world of digital. You will work directly with our business teams, data integration specialist, and user interface design expert, as part of an agile way of working to analyze business needs and develop applications and practices to fulfill these.

You will be trained in the use of the Mendix Rapid Application Development Platform, application testing, performance and code quality toolsets, and coached in using our state of the art Mendix Cloud architecture (based on AWS).

This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time.

Your skills and experience:
Be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience.
Have a demonstrable interest in IT and an enthusiasm for technology.
Have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills.
Enjoy problem solving and be logical.
Be able to work under press in a fast-pace environment.
Like working in a team with lots of different people.
Be able to take responsibility for a piece of work from start to finish.
