You will be joining an established, growing, Edinburgh-based bridge team delivering an exciting portfolio of work in the railway and roads sectors. You will work with colleagues of all levels allowing you to further develop your skills, knowledge and experience with support provided to attain professional qualifications as appropriate. Whilst nominally based in our Edinburgh office we will support you to work effectively remotely until our offices can fully reopen in accordance with Government requirements.

This is a challenging role that will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to advance their technical skills and progress within a large delivery team.
Preparing to sit the professional review to attain Chartered or Incorporated status with suitable academic accreditation confirmed;
Experience of design, feasibility, inspection and assessment of bridges and civil structures;
Good knowledge and experience of the UK railway or UK roads sector;
Hands-on experience of design and assessment to Eurocodes with UK National Annexes and to client standards;
Ambition to further develop your own career as part of our development of the bridges and civil structures team;
Ability to work and collaborate positively and effectively with different team members, staff from other disciplines and project stakeholders;
Excellent command of spoken and written English.
Good working knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, Robot, LUSAS, ASBD, MIDAS, Tedds, Mathcad and in the use of BIM technology;
Ability to draft documents as part of the technical approval process for transportation clients such as Network Rail, Transport Scotland and Local Authorities;
Experience of rail design delivery and working to Network Rail standards and procedures;
Experience of roads design delivery and working to DMRB standards and procedures;
Multi-disciplinary project experience;
Experience of working in a Design & Build project environment.
