The Principal Systems Engineer (Main Broadcast Systems) will provide technical expertise within the Land and Naval domain of Leonardo regarding the use of Broadcast systems afloat on naval platforms.
The successful candidate will be responsible, as Design Authority, for the systems design, supplier selection, and implementation of COTS supplied Broadcast systems, applications and products, including platform-wide distributed speaker systems, for naval capital ships and submarines.
The successful candidate must have significant experience in all aspects of the Systems Engineering lifecycle and be able to coordinate existing knowledge and data on current programmes as well as providing technical support to develop concepts, architectures and define system designs – taking these forward to implementation, integration, test and evaluation and ultimately production.
The nature of the Main Broadcast capability on a naval platform results in a safety critical system, so the successful candidate will be required to understand and execute the safety certification of the solution to the appropriate safety integrity levels.
