Technical sales and Service engineer
Fault finding and repair of failed equipment and systems down to Line Replaceable Unit (LRU).
Installation, commissioning and routine maintenance of meteorological systems at airports, aviation sites and meteorological sites in the UK, possibly also overseas.
Troubleshooting faults in systems and giving backup to ATC (Air Traffic Control) site engineers while working on site.
Supplier liaison for purchasing of equipment and supplies.
Participation in quoting process
Point of contact for customers requiring engineering support.
Development and test of new and existing airport products.
Promotion of Muir Matheson Aviation’s (MM Aviation) systems to existing and potential customers
HND or degree in Engineering (preferably electronics) and/or IT or experience in lieu.
Computer skills incl. knowledge of Microsoft platforms. A keen interest in current computing systems and ability and interest to stay up to date with current computing systems.
Data acquisition systems, networking and communications equipment.
Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Ability to communicate professionally with customers.
Able to handle multiple problems and prioritise the work.
Attention to detail.
Proven problem-solving abilities.
Language skills: Fluent English; written and oral
Interest in or experience with the aviation industry.
Interest in or experience with meteorological systems or industry
Experience of customer support.
General workshop skills.
The work may require security clearance (both civil and defence).
International travel to be expected
