We are looking for Temporary Works Engineers to join the team based in our Head office near Warrington to undertake temporary works designs and assisting the Temporary Works Coordinator in the design process, supervision and checking of temporary works.
Responsibilities will include site visits, draughting, design and checking temporary works, liaising with permanent works designer and contractors. You will also be accountable for the management of the design, checking process and technical approval of erection and dismantling of designated temporary works.
The successful candidate will have experience of dealing with Temporary Works Coordination and have experience working on Civil Engineering projects.
We’re looking for:
Degree in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering with at least 3 years post qualification experience in Civil Engineering / Construction
Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered Engineer status
Experience within the main areas of Temporary Works such as Ground Shoring, Platforms, Propping, Scaffolding, Formwork and False work
Experience in Soil Mechanics / Geotechnical Engineering is an advantage.
Experience in working with different materials such as steel, concrete and timber is an advantage.
Experience in coordination of the civil/structural works, completion of construction activities, reviewing designs and ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and contract requirements during design and on-site
Ability to discuss complex technical issues and with key stakeholders, ability to persuade and influence
