Remote Support Engineer – Nottingham to £22K depending on experience.
My clients Remote Support Engineers are the first point of call and the problem solvers for their clients when they experience issues with their IT, subsequently they are the image of the company in their client’s hour of need... They may need something as simple as a password resetting, or a new user adding to their domain etc. or it could be something more complex within Active Directory or exchange. Either way, as the face of the company it is the Remote Support Engineer’s role to fix these problems and adhere to the Service Level Agreement.
The position is fast paced, varied and interesting and would suit an ambitious and aspiring Remote Support Emgineer with 1-2 years experience, who’s looking to work in a supportive environment within a company that has a culture for training, progression and development.
Their Remote Support Engineers are friendly, polite, concise and have an excellent phone manner.
Answering support calls from clients and logging tickets using the helpdesk system
Providing technical support via telephone, email and remote-control sessions
Diagnosing and resolving customer’s problems
Escalating more advanced issues to 2nd line support
Assisting with workshop repairs of hardware such as PCs and laptops
Knowledge, Skills & Requirements
Windows Desktop Operating Systems
Microsoft Office applications
General Networking – DHCP, DNS, etc
Basic Microsoft Server administration – Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange etc
Hardware configuration and support – PCs, laptops, printers, scanners etc
Experience working in a helpdesk environment
Ability to prioritise workload
Excellent communication skills
