What is the Role?
As a Planning Technician, you'll be be responsible for developing and managing the maintenance plan across all of the Hydro Generation assets, including safety assessing and defining the controls required for all inspection and maintenance job plans.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the programme of work is communicated effectively and implemented safely to achieve maximum availability of plant. -Assist in the scheduling of all planned operational and maintenance work, ensuring work is carried out on a priority basis.
- Ensuring all available resources are always efficiently utilised.
- Monitor compliance, availability and efficiency across all generation assets for our sites and updating the maintenance management system accordingly.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role you should be educated to a minimum of HNC level in an engineering discipline coupled with practical experience or have extensive experience in an operational and maintenance environment. We're looking for you to have an understanding of a diverse range of engineering plant equipment relevant to generation sites, and you should be authorised, or working towards authorisation, to Control Person Safety and CITB Site Supervisor for Safety.
You'll be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other related management systems, and have outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of adapting to all levels of seniority throughout the business.
There will be an element of travel as part of this role, therefore, you should have a full and valid UK driving licence.
