We are also leading the airfield design element of the Heathrow Expansion Programme, including runway 3. Would you like to be a member of our dynamic and expanding team in our Reading (Winnersh) or brand new London offices?
We are wishing to recruit experienced Airport Engineers to join our established Aviation design team. You will become a member of a large and expanding design team, taking a leading role in delivering airport design services throughout all stages of major project development and in all areas of airport infrastructure design, working independently and reporting to the Project Manager .
You will lead a team of junior engineers and technicians working on a variety of airport projects.
As a task Leader, Assistant Project Manager or Design Manager and be responsible for the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports, scheme design and detailed design for major and minor projects.
You will attend progress meetings and liaise with all essential stakeholders
The role will also encompass resource, financial and commercial management
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil Engineering accredited for corporate membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers, or equivalent qualifications.
A minimum of three years’ experience in airport design and construction
Membership of a relevant professional body and be working towards chartered status
Extensive experience of airfield geometric design with a good understanding of specialist design packages such as Autodesk Civil3D
Detailed knowledge and experience in the application of the airport pavement design procedures
Experience of airport infrastructure design
Experience of airfield inspection and pavement inspection including PCI
A willingness to work overseas from time to time
Airport construction site experience
Experience of Autodesk Vault
Experience of drainage design using MicroDrainage WinDES
Experience of the delivery of preliminary and detailed design
Experience of working with contractors
Experience of airport planning
Experience of use of databases and GIS
Experience of Asset Management
