Responsible for preparing design calculations, drawings and tender/contract documents, your role as a Drainage Engineer puts you at the heard of our design projects. You will liaise with statutory and non-statutory bodies to obtain relevant licences and consents, prepare land plants and schedules for access when required, and provide information to populate and update the Decision / Risk register.
Furthermore, you will ensure suitable site investigations are undertaken as part of design, identify TM needs and provide information to the CWF contractor designing these requirements, and work with the WCHAR auditor, alongside compiling the briefs and provide information for RSA and WCHAR audits.
You’ll need to be able to communicate well in the written and spoken word, be computer literate with competent ability and knowledge of MS Office Suite as a minimum. You should be able to use drainage software including WinDES, have a BEng in Civil Engineering with appropriate experience.
An IEng with appropriate Institution (ICE, CIWEM, CIHT) as well as experience of highways maintenance and design is desired.
