The Belfast Highways team is seeking a Project Manager with experience in the Highways Sector to be part of a growing team working on exciting projects
We are looking for a highly organised, excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills who is passionate about service excellence with the drive, energy and an enthusiasm for getting things done.
As the PM you will report to the Project Director and be responsible for completing the initial checks, establishing the project structure, including the setting up and maintaining of internal task plans, mobilising resources, communicating with the project team and carrying out the day to day management of the projects.
A typical week would include:
Client focused and deliver projects and services that meet clients’ needs
Collaborate with others across projects and areas of project delivery
Apply best practice in the planning, management and delivery of projects
Be accountable for:
Working alongside the Group Manager and Project Director to provide PM support
Being a champion of Business Management System (WSP QMS)
Engender a culture so that projects are completed right first-time, on time, all the time
Identifying, communicating and managing Health and safety risks to the team
Active management of interfaces between different disciplines
Project definition, with an appropriately detailed scope, deliverables and programme
Timely, clear internal and external reporting on finances, programme, delivery to scope, resourcing, early warnings, scope changes and project risks
Planning audits, verification and technical reviews with follow-up action
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
Have a degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Be Incorporated or Chartered or equivalent demonstrable experience
Have a proven track record of dealing with Clients and forging effective relationships in a professional and customer focused manner
Have experience of Contract Preparation and Contract Supervision using NEC forms of contract
Have experience in mentoring and guiding junior members of staff
Possess good written and oral communication skills are essential
