The Project Technician will be part of the assigned team assisting the Project Manager, Engineers and Engineering Technicians. Working under direct supervision, this will involve liaising with various departments to ensure projects are executed in line with schedule, budget and quality standards.
Reporting directly to the Engineering ManagersCoordinate Project related “fit-up tests”, either within factory or at a Subcontractors facilityAssist with the generation of project documentation up to the level as directed by Approvals matrixSupport Project team in the preparation of BOM’s within the Team Centre system.Liaise with Manufacturing Supervision in relation to Project specific equipment and /or activitiesInterface with Senior/Lead Engineers and/or Engineers to assist in the response to technical queries from the client or his nominated representative, Vendors and SCM group.Generate shipping manifests and packaging documentation and close co-ordination with warehouse techniciansCoordinate load out requirements and offshore supportWork with and supervise Subcontractors (and/or Client Inspectors) whilst on site undertaking project related dutiesPerform any other duties as directed by the Engineering Managers
ONC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent as a minimum Proven Track Record in an Engineering environmentPrevious exposure to clients and/or subcontractors would be advantageous but not essentialWorking knowledge of the offshore industry is preferred but not essential
A good working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeStrong verbal, written and numerical skillsAbility to work independently and also as part of a teamAbility to work without close supervision and the ability to plan daily workload is required
