As a Reporting Developer, you will be responsible for the full end-to-end process of setting up and maintaining reporting systems within the Customer Reporting Service Managed area. You will write and maintain ETL processes, analyse data and build front end web-based reporting, using Visual Studio, ASP.NET & Oracle PL/SQL Server.
Stakeholder management will play a big part to this role. We are looking for someone who has the ability to relay technical information to a wide audience. You will be liaising with internal key stakeholders to interoperate and define requirements to align business customer contracts. We are looking for someone who can really drive process and system improvements whilst maintaining accuracy, speed and quality at all times.
What will you be doing?
Will scope, design and build new and improvements to system capability, continually driving improvements and efficiency through their technical capability.
Own and maintain the Service Level Management and Problem Management in house tool, to ensure reliable and efficient performance of our systems for end users.
Develop and model rules and business logic in line with customer specific measures
Understand all aspects of customer requirements, related to Service Levels, Key Performance Indicators and other measures.
Interpret, discuss and agree reporting requirements at senior level.
Work alongside Operational teams to interrogate, explain and understand available source data.
Understand, to an intermediate level, the applications used by Operational Teams for logging and managing tickets.
Understand, to an expert level, the Business Objects application, for extraction of data.
Negotiate and agree deliverables from Operations teams relating to source data.
Compile metric requirements into logic requirements for automation of data capture and mathematical processes.
Using various programming languages, gather, compile, display and report the requirements, against agreed deliverables
Provide expert level advice, guidance and practical input for complex reporting requirements.
Liaise with all levels of Service Management and Problem Management for questions related to report content.
Manually compile 'fast track' interim reports to meet urgent requirements.
Interact with stakeholders, at all levels, providing advice and guidance based on expertise and experience.
Experience in building robust business applications.
