Marston's are currently recruiting for a Control Engineer to join the team in Burton. You will work as part of the engineering teams to reduce production downtime & improve processes at our busy Burton brewery!
The successful candidate will have excellent organisation & planning skills and continually strives towards the highest standards of customer service at all times. This role will suit someone able to work under pressure and work on their own initiative as well as being part of a skilled and dedicated team.
Maintain outputs (H&S, Quality, and Performance) to plan.
Ability to program, modify & troubleshoot PLC software. Utilising a suite of software that is mainly Rockwell & Siemens’s.
Skills to support & develop existing Scada/HMI software systems across the site. Including the management & maintenance of the hardware associated with the system.
Implementation & maintaining of the site networks & knowledge of common communication protocols. These include Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus, AS-i, ControlNet, DeviceNet & Modbus.
Working with the engineering teams to reduce production downtime & improve processes.
Awareness of the technology trends within the industry & ability to take Marston’s instruments, equipment & processes forward as requirements change.
Good working knowledge of PC’s & windows operating systems.
A flexible ‘can do’ approach with the desire to learn new skills.
A problem solving mind set & ability to be self-motivated.
Compliant & assisting with Marston’s energy agenda.
Support and encourage Marston’s Energy agenda.
Able to demonstrate significant experience of FMGC maintenance.
Formal Engineering qualification to HNC.
Full clean driving licence.
Ideally experience gained within Food and Beverage industry.
Promote a professional and positive attitude at all times.
Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
Proactive approach to problem solving.
Provides the highest standards of customer service at all times.
