Vickerstock are working alongside one of the UKs leading, food processing employers to source a Maintenance Engineer for their Cookstown site.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to develop their career.
Your new role as a Maintenance Engineer;
Optimise the performance of all production packing machinery to minimise machine down time and optimise OEE.
Follow and develop preventative maintenance programme and carry out actions on machinery and equipment as required.
Work alongside production colleagues to optimise machine and process set up and control system configurations so as to achieve maximum yield and process control performance.
Provide effective problem solving, fault diagnosis and repairs, responding timely and proactively to plant and equipment faults.
Assist with training and development of key operators to run machinery safely and efficiently.
Through structured continuous improvement devise initiatives to increase efficiencies and reduce costs and implement engineering projects as appropriate
Support the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
Adhere to the company's health, safety, environmental and personal standards policies.
Ensure accurate and full record keeping of all work is carried out and appropriate handovers are completed.
Care for tools and equipment provided, ensuring that on completion of a task that equipment and/or work area is left in a clean and safe condition.
Work as part of an inter-dependent production and engineering team with flexibility to take on all other reasonable tasks, including line leadership in the absence of a production manager and availability for emergency breakdown cover
What you will need to succeed as a Maintenance Engineer;
Engineering apprenticeship/training programme with a recognised qualification.
3+ years relevant experience in providing technical support to high speed packing equipment
Experience in fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to present information, status and issues in a clear and concise manner with the goal of driving to a decision
Strong coaching and training skills
Demonstrates a history of internal and external customer-focused behaviours
Demonstrates an improvement mindset and application
