THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Reporting to the European SI Service Manager, the Customer Service Engineer is responsible for providing Internal Repair and Calibration support for Solartron Analytical - Customer Products
To ensure effective Repair and Calibration of Customers equipment to component level or module exchange basis.
Customer equipment will range from Repair & Calibration of Frequency Response Analyzer’s, Electrochemical Interfaces and third-party equipment.
Assistance to manufacturing support, to step in where additional product output is required to meet our customer product deliveries.
To ensure effective maintenance of existing Customer Service Contracts and provide the necessary interface to achieve this.
To provide assistance on assigned support issues both internally and externally.
To assist with the maintenance of departmental equipment and the general efficient functioning of the department.
To ensure awareness and implementation of cost and quality standards and their requirements.
To contribute generally within the Customer Support Group in the pursuit of customer satisfaction.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
A suitable Electronics qualification would be preferred as proof of Training or a proven track record working within an electronics test / repair area.
Currently Working within existing electronics working environment with component level repair skills. Good soldering skills with plated through and surface mount technology.
Engineer who is currently working as a Field Service, Electronics Bench or Test Engineer
This job is a very much ‘Hands on position’ where the daily tasks / work requirements vary from replacing a Fan, Battery, Display Tube to repairing an Analyzer PCB to component level.
This engineer must be self-motivated, flexible and have the ability to work alone and be totally focused on the high level of work output required.
This engineer must be prepared to work some limited ‘overtime’ if necessary.
Must be able to lift / carry 24KG in weight as this is the typical weight of a Frequency Response Analyzer.
