Salary: £32,851 - £48,648 depending on skills and experience

What is the Role?
Our RTS team provides a system design, project delivery and system support service for the Operational Applications that are used by the SSEN Network Management Centres to monitor and manage the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Networks.
As a full member of the RTS Operational Technology Engineering Resource team you will work on small and large OT projects and provide day to day support services for the Primary Operational Applications such as the GE PowerOn Distribution Management System. You will be part of a rota providing 24/7 support for critical national infrastructure.
This vacancy will be particularly focused on work for the Transmission business but you will have a wide project scope and have an opportunity to work with a range of internal customers, internal and external service providers and a range of internal and external Project Managers.
Applications will be considered from experienced professionals or from candidates who could start in the role on a development plan to learn about the business-critical Operational Applications supported and developed by RTS.
What do I need?
To ensure you get the most from your role, and our customers receive the highest standard of service, we ask that you have the following to join us;
A passion for working with technology and people
Degree level (or equivalent) qualification in a Computing, Engineering or Science based discipline (or demonstrable practical experience in one of these areas)
A sound knowledge of the principles of software and hardware design
Given the nature of the business it is expected that there will be some travel throughout the SSE area therefore a valid UK driving licence is required.
