AWE is currently recruiting for an Electromagnetic Technician/Engineer to support multiple programmes operating across all areas of the business.
Location – Reading area
Package - £26,040 - £36,000 depending on suitability and level of experience

As a member of the Electromagnetic Engineering team you will:
Conduct electromagnetic assessments of equipment, systems and installations
Contribute to the production and delivery of high-quality technical documentation, including test plans, reports and procedures
Assist with measurements in an anechoic and/or reverberation chamber within a test laboratory environment
Support the team with planning and providing basis of estimates for future activities
Identify and support continuous process improvement activities
Undertake specialist electrical training
Work with a professional mentor to develop an understanding of different aspects of electromagnetic engineering including Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) & Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
To be considered for this role, you will require the following:
A recognised qualification, in electronic engineering, or an alternative science/engineering qualification with knowledge and/or practical experience of electromagnetic engineering
A working knowledge of electronic systems and their interfaces
An ability to multitask across several projects, whilst proactively managing priorities and remaining focussed on delivery
Good at identifying a problem and solving it
Excellent customer facing skills with both internal and external stakeholders
Competence in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience working in an electromagnetic engineering position
Experience of working in a test laboratory environment
Knowledge of RF emissions
Knowledge of electromagnetic environment test standards
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
