About This Role
Alliance Medical has a rare and exciting opportunity for a General Manager to join our Radiopharmacy Division based in either the North or South. This is a full time role, working 40 hours per week across multiple sites.
You will be responsible for all aspects of site management including overall activity, including isotope and radio-pharmaceutical production as is necessary to meet the demands of PET customers across the region.
The general manager is responsible for all legal, safety, regulatory and financial requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities - Operations
Standard Operating Procedures
Document SOPs in accordance with the relevant guidelines and establish operational protocols and schedules.
Ensure that back-up manpower resources are in place (including oneself) through development of a multi-disciplinary capability of each team member.
Ensure comprehensive and effective maintenance programmes are set up and executed covering all aspects of production, quality and site management.
Ensure first-line scheduled and emergency maintenance for the cyclotrons and its associated plant in collaboration with contractors engineers.
Participate in relevant training courses and maintain link with.
Responsible for development and management of systems for providing regularly updated maintenance and faults logs to ensure problems are dealt with effectively, comprehensive documentation is maintained and provision of aids is provided for trainee operators (e.g. to interpret and rectify operational faults and to indicate when external contractors should be called)
Working with the QA to ensure development and management of quality procedures for cyclotron operators and radiopharmaceutical production.
Ensuring Operations meet compliance with all aspects of cGMP at both Sutton and Guildford sites
Responsible for set up and monitoring of site quality, safety, efficiency and financial performance.
Establish routine protocols for production of standard 18F and other PET targetary in accordance with GMP guidelines.
M & E Services
Establish and maintain appropriate Engineering / Maintenance arrangements to ensure reliable delivery of all critical services including, air handling, chilled water, electric power and security.
Safety and Control
Overall responsibility for providing and maintaining safety systems to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Overall responsibility for the safe and efficient handling of all radioactive substances (solid, gas, liquid) emanating within and from AMR sites including production, transmission, dispensing, storage, containerisation, packing, despatch, transport, decay control, and release.
Ensure development and maintenance of local rules for emergency or serious incident procedure with paramount importance attaching to safety of site personnel (badged and others), contractors, visitors, patients and public.
Skills in Radiochemistry
Develop necessary skills to provide technical knowledge and leadership for routine activities and project work including the ability to provide training and guidance to others with specific reference to the functions of:
§ Maintenance and operation of the cyclotrons
§ Production of radioisotopes
§ Manufacture of radiopharmaceutical PET/SPECT tracers
§ QC analytical testing
§ Technology transfer of new products
§ Project Management (products or infrastructure)
