You will join our Risk, Safety and Human Factors department
As our new Senior Human Factors Engineer you will be part of a growing team of multidisciplinary professionals working for a range of exciting projects and clients. We have a number of offices in the UK however most of your colleagues are based in our Manchester Office. We are in an exciting period of growth with an innovative mentality that puts our clients at the centre of our work.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
Provide Human Factors Engineering specialist input to a range of projects in a varied number of locations UK and overseas
Provide input to and develop bids and proposals
Provide support to the growth and business development plans relating to Ramboll’s Risk, Safety & Human Factors business
Actively connect with colleagues across the Ramboll UK teams to seek opportunities to include Human Factors considerations during design stages
Attend client events and develop papers and publications that raise the profile of Ramboll as a Human Factors service provider

Integration of Human Factors into design including the development of Human Factors Integration (HFI) Plans
Experience of best practise standards and techniques relating to HFI and Human Factors Assessment techniques
Undertaking operational Human Factors studies and projects including Manning Assessments, Safety Critical Task Analysis, Human Error Analysis and Human Factors Risk Assessments.
Excellent report writing and presentation skills
Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and client representatives
Experience of Safety Culture assessment projects and leadership training/coaching also desirable (but not essential)
Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include: Ability to work with a range of multidisciplinary clients and colleagues with mindfulness to others and the ability to listen and communicate with confidence. Able to develop timely written reports and presentations to a high standard. Able to communicate with clarity and provide outputs, advice and reports that clients can understand and apply
