The role of the Informatics Developer is to support all aspects of program-related data, from design and documentation to collection, processing, storage, and retrieval, while maintaining compliance with FDA and other regulations. This shall include scripting, data input support, data export and data manipulation in Almac Diagnostics systems such as LIMS or standard data handling tools.
The successful candidates’ responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Assist in customisation of required data management systems as per internal data capture and reporting requirements.
Format and check customer and laboratory data extracted from the relevant data management systems.
Support internal and customer driven data reconciliation queries.
Support data return to internal and external customers by facilitating the data capture, report generation and data formatting processes.
Support the data archiving element of the project close-out process.
Maintain safe and secure storage of all electronic data
Participate in on-going Data Management training.
Ensure that good clinical laboratory practice guidelines are followed.
Assist in data quality assurance activities.
Support data archival in the role of Electronic Data Archivist
Generate Change Requests for Documentation and Computerised Systems.
Operate at any Almac Diagnostics Site
Educated to at least an MSc level in bioinformatics, computer science or a related discipline OR Educated to degree level with a minimum of 2 years experience in a directly comparable role
Demonstrable computation and software development skills

PhD in bioinformatics, computer science or a related discipline
Commercial experience within a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company
Familiarity with genomics and computational biology
Experience designing & developing FDA or CE-Mark certified software solutions to support clinical assay delivery
