Create, maintain, review and administer schedules, costs and plans within p6. Liaising with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise. Liaise with external contractors and suppliers to understand their programme activities and organise the phases of the construction programmes in a succinct and logical manner.
Ensure work activities are planned and controlled in accordance with all HSE policies and procedures
Continual communication with Operations Management / Project Management / Engineers with regards to progress and meeting specific programmed dates
Analyse planning and control requirements for the programme of works.
Develop procedures for use of the planning package
In collaboration with other staff, client, contractors, suppliers and project partners where necessary, produce breakdown structures, networks, schedules, critical path analysis, reports and other project planning documentation
Regularly update and monitor project progress, providing feedback to Operations Management / Project Management / Engineers
Carry out earned value analysis and cash flow
Carryout project and program resource planning and levelling, providing feedback to Operations Management / Project Management / Engineers.
Liaise with client and other project partners to achieve integrated planning across the whole programme
Input into and prepare tender programmes, methodologies and planning
Input into innovation, alternative techniques for efficient cost-effective working

Key Qualification & Experience
A degree in planning or project management an advantage
Significant experience in all aspects of planning and scheduling in Primavera products
Experience of Rail / civil engineering projects delivery in the rail sector
Earned Value experience preferable
Effective client interface skills and experience with the ability to offer both strategic and project advice
