About the role::
About the role:
We want you to be our Data Centre Engineer and join our service team to help us spot, solve and just generally support our iomart customers. You’ll be responsible for tasks such as:
investigating technical challenges and solving them
carrying out technical maintenance on a variety of technologies (if you like tech or want to learn more about it, this role is for you)
keeping in touch with customers who have more complex or ongoing challenges to let them know what’s going on
updating and maintaining internal process documents as required (we’re all about continually improving)
completing all associated admin, ensuring accurate information is recorded
managing monitoring queues for both iomart and infrastructure alerts
configuring servers and offering up network support
doing everything in line with internal and external Service Level Agreements
spotting and escalating critical issues to senior team members as required
being proactive and identifying opportunities for improvement and sharing with senior team members any other tasks as reasonably requested to keep our site and services operational
