About the role
We are seeking an experienced graphic designer (marketing designer) to own the creation and maintenance both of our marketing assets and of the content created to support the business and our marketing goals. From concept through execution, you will improve the internal and external experience of our products by bringing our brand to life and keeping it consistent across all our various touchpoints. This is a part-time position that we’d consider on either a freelance or fixed-term contract basis.
You’ll be joining a friendly, collaborative, down-to-earth, fairly new marketing team, that will be responsible for several exciting, business-critical projects over the next 18 months. You’ll be interacting with the Head of Brand & Marketing, the Head of Communications, and the Content Manager, as well as with stakeholders from Product, Product Design, and other parts of the business.
In this role you’ll be creating award-winning design work that sets us apart from our competitors, and you’ll be joining a business at the cutting edge of AI decision making. In the longer term, this role could become permanent. This role is currently a remote position. Once our office is open we’d look for the candidate to be able to spend time with us in our office in Cambridge.
What will you be responsible for?
Collaborating with marketing, communications, and product teams to support our website design and content marketing (blog, social media assets, video, and more).
Helping to bring new ideas for design and content creation to the team using your expertise and eye for great design.
Scoping and creating templates for our marketing team so that they can be more efficient in their posting on social media, the blog, email, and other channels.
Managing other design needs such as presentations, signage, and trade show collateral.
Taking ownership of marketing design work, including best practices and acceptable use.
Adapting, creating, and applying brand assets as part of extensive brand activity and ongoing requests.
Taking ownership of all tools, project management, and organisation of design assets.
What skills, experience, and qualifications do you need to succeed in this role?
You will be an experienced Graphic Designer who has worked either in an in-house design role or at a marketing agency. You will be able to communicate complex ideas with powerful images. You will have designed for a marketing or content team before, and will be used to adapting brand guidelines into design assets, website design, and graphic design.
You will be an expert in using Adobe Creative Suite or similar technologies (e.g Sketch, Figma)
PROWLER.io is a young and evolving business so you will need to be adaptable and flexible in your approach. You will be interacting with various stakeholders in a variety of teams, so working to deadlines and juggling multiple projects will be second nature to you. You’ll be someone who can share your expertise, but is happy to accept feedback. An honest and open style of communication and a collaborative and consultative way of working will be important to your success in this role. We’ll look for you to help us to establish new processes to streamline and prioritise design requests.
