Reporting to the finance and manufacturing management, the Stock Controller will focus business processes on accurate recording of inventory movements and balances. Root causes of book to physical inventory variances will be investigated and challenged with operational processes to generate accurate ERP records, correct BOMs where appropriate and minimise the inefficiency caused by component shortages.
Investigation of cycle count identified errors.
Identification and resolution of root causes of inventory recording errors.
Liaison with cycle counter, product development, production engineers, SCM and factory managers to ensure accurate record keeping.
Inventory control and valuation including stocktakes and periodical analysis.
Ensuring SCM team have adequate visibility on supplier fault losses to take appropriate action.
Ensuring appropriate treatment of returns, reworks and product conversions.
Development of security controls around inventory moving through company processes.
Documentation and mapping of inventory control processes.
Meticulous approach to stock control seeking 100% accuracy.
Experience with ERP systems and understanding of MRP.
Ability to identify opportunities and weaknesses within business processes and suggest improvements.
Capable of undertaking ad-hoc analysis and project work without supervision.
Confident communicator able to challenge operational processes and follow issues through to conclusion.
