IT Support Engineer – Warrington
Risktec Solutions Ltd. is an independent and specialist risk management consulting and training company. We assist clients in major hazard industries to manage safety and business risk.
We are seeking a highly organised individual with an engaging personality to join our head office in Warrington as an IT Support Engineer. By the nature of the role, the ideal candidate as well as having a pleasant personality, needs to be dynamic and self-starting and ideally would live locally to our Warrington office. By the support nature of the IT Team, a degree of flexible working hours (e.g. occasional weekend working) is required and to provide occasional support to other UK & International offices.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
To manage and deliver the company IT Helpdesk, providing practical advice and support to all staff on the company’s IT services.
Installation of equipment ranging from Servers to Desktops/laptops through to ancillary network equipment.
As part of the IT Team supporting and delivering the company’s IT services so that staff obtain maximum benefit from those services.
Maintaining the company’s IT hardware and software Asset, liaising with suppliers in the upkeep and delivery of equipment.
Consistency, interpersonal skills, ability to work unsupervised and under pressure, self-confidence, analysis, numeracy and literacy, prioritisation, professional and proactive approach.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
HNC/HND level or equivalent IT related subjects
Experience and knowledge of running Help Desks
Experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications
Sound knowledge of Network Infrastructures
