We do everything possible to keep the wind turbines up and running and improve their performance, for the long term. In 2015, Deutsche Windtechnik entered the UK market and now has well over 300 WTG’s/400MW under Service & Maintenance contracts, our aim being to expand further into both onshore and offshore markets. You will work closely with all departments in the UK and other group companies to ensure we are providing a level of service expected from a market leader. Although the majority of your time will be spent working in the UK you may be expected to spend some periods working with colleagues in Germany and in other Deutsche Windtechnik group countries.
Your duties and responsibilities
Recent experience of working as an Authorising Engineer is essential (Vestas technology)
Preparing, co-ordinating and securing the completion of all related paperwork
Take ownership/create all relevant documentation under Wind Turbine Safety Rules
Be part of a dedicated technical safety team providing WTSR support and advice
Deliver support to all field technicians which will also include being part of authorisation panels
Close interaction with Planner/Coordinator to coordinate activities on site
Fulfilment of project requirements in regards to program, specification, health and safety procedures. Also analyse fault trends and suggest and prepare retrofit campaigns
Fault-finding and support of complex repair processes with Technical Lead and other support resources.
Also responsible for the creation of safety documentation, including AWP's and RAMS.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Requirements
Higher education or Bachelor degree in a relevant subject
At least 3 years experiences of technical product experience (Vestas)
A good knowledge of system design expanding technical knowledge
Strong health and safety knowledge and awareness
In depth understanding of WTSR
