To succeed, we’re looking for a Lead Engineer who shares our passion for creating a cleaner, greener future. Your role in our System Analysis team is to carry out power system modelling, simulation and analysis and associated research, reviewing data and technical discussions to assess, explain and explore various aspects of network and equipment performance on the existing and planned future networks.
As our engineers display technical leadership, you will contribute to the creation, maintenance and exchange of transmission and distribution network models and datasets, assisting in the preparation of industry publications such as the Electricity Ten Year Statement (ETYS) and the Distribution Long Term Development Statement (LTDS).
This calls for considerable experience and you will be educated to degree standard in Electrical Engineering and possess experience in power system design and analysis, including the use of power system simulation software. With your knowledge of GB network design standards and codes (e.g. the SQSS, Grid Code), you will also hold knowledge of modelling methods and data exchange in power systems, power electronic converters, HVDC, power system harmonics, sub-synchronous oscillations, electromagnetic transient studies, control systems or transmission network protection.
