To be a key member of a project team, to deliver the engineering of best in class premium automotive seating for the products we develop. The role will include the creation of technical specifications or targets, and the design of components and assemblies to meet the technical requirements. The achievement of engineering deliverables within the program timing constraints is essential.
To work systematically and analytically and to use structured problem solving methods to resolve technical issues.
To create and manage the DFMEA for your area of responsibility, managing technical risk to acceptable levels and validating the product to customer and regulatory requirements.
To apply your knowledge and experience to the engineering of a product, with respect to requirements definition & design to meet function, safety, cost, manufacturability, durability and appearance standards.

List of Responsibilities:
Design and package of Seating systems and associated components in compliance to customer, legal and industry standards.
Ensure designs are suitable for supplier and plant manufacture / assembly, meeting cost targets
Preparing of engineering change proposals with associated studies.
Participating in customer and supplier design meetings.
100% Support of the Lear PLM Releasing System.
Support, co-ordinate and audit, Low Cost Country off shoring as required.
Fulfill customer engineering project time lines for release of design systems
Participation in design reviews
