We are looking for machine learning researchers to help discover new medicines through causal relationships in data. Causality is a crucial concept in real-world decision making, and is equally critical to the success of machine learning algorithms’ ability to reason about their environment. This is an exciting research-driven role where you will undertake cutting-edge causal machine learning research, and implement your ideas to solve novel R&D problems, impacting the lives of patients.
As a Grade 8 Machine Learning Engineer focusing in Causal Machine Learning you will:
Design novel machine learning algorithms to discover & exploit causal relationships within high-dimensional datasets
Implement algorithms to help progress GSK’s medicinal campaigns
Keep up with causality & machine learning literature, applying & adapting it internally
Contribute back to the scientific community where appropriate, through publications
A masters degree or higher in computer science, applied math, physics, systems biology, bioinformatics, or related field
Strong scientific programming skills, including Python
Experience with at least one deep learning framework such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
Experience working with genomics & cellular biology data
Experience with systems modelling approaches (dynamical systems, Markov methods, etc)
Experience working with a Linux computing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
