As Production Engineer, you will be partially responsible for Design and Production activities within the Aerospace Engineering function within QinetiQ.
The Production Engineer will manage the interface between design and production activities.
You’ll be working within a workshop environment ensuring production activities meet EASA Part 21 G, MAOS, Nadcap and AS9100 aerospace approvals.
It will be your responsibility to ensure appropriate manufacturing reviews with design are carried out.
You will maintain traceability, repeatability and compliance to applicable design data. Raising engineering queries for any deviation or technical queries with the Production Lead.
The Production Engineer must advise / influence Designers in choice of materials at the concept design stage based on known availability and ease of sourcing.
The Production Engineer needs to have knowledge of EASA Part 21 Subpart G.
Electrical knowledge is required. The Production Engineer must be comfortable with PTP, wire types, cable harnessing and installation with a comfortable knowledge of electronic assembly.
