Bill of Materials Engineer
Would you like to play a key part in Maritime Supply Chain and bill of materials management for the Hunter Class Frigate? We currently have a vacancy for a Bill of Materials Engineer at our sites in Scotstoun or Filton.
As a Bill of Materials Engineer you will be working with the core Engineering team to develop a Bill of Materials (BoM) that ranges from complex to commercial off the shelf (COTS) products, presenting the demand to and liaising with Supply Chain closely to fulfil Ship material requirements.
Your main responsibilities as Bill of Materials Engineer will involve:
Liaising and communicating with Engineering to develop the bill of materials by contract
Management of the BOM within the data set - use of Engineering PDM (Product Data Management – Windchill) and Supply Chain ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning – Aveva) Databases
Ensuring quality of data within the BOM
Embodying product change as needed
Reporting status of material demand process
Your skills and qualifications:
Proficient with IT packages – strong Microsoft Excel skills
Knowledge of BOMs
Experience in a manufacturing background
Use of Product Data tool/ ERP tool in previous roles
Working experience with Supply Chain stakeholders
Relevant HND/ Degree preferable but not necessary

You will have attention to detail working with a lot of data, quality minded and process driven. Strong communication and comfortable dealing with all levels of stakeholders and ideally a background in Manufacturing Engineering.
