Fujitsu are currently seeking an AIX engineer with proven experience in an implementation / support role at 2nd /3rd line level to work within the UNIX Infrastructure Support Team based at our high profile customer site in Telford, Shropshire.
This role sits within a team that is responsible for the Live Service Delivery of all aspects of the core infrastructure managed by Fujitsu. The team support Production, DR, Live Acceptance Proving, Test and Development Services on a 24/7 basis.
Working with a mixture of AIX version (5.3 to 7.2), you will be required to provide operating system support and maintenance for AIX based systems. You will have significant AIX and IBM hardware experience and we will require very strong current & working knowledge of the operating system, the ability to produce UNIX scripts & knowledge of Cloud computing principles to support the team's aims to manage, monitor & maintain our services.
- Proven experience in an implementation / support role at 2nd /3rd line level.
- Significant AIX & IBM hardware experience.
- UNIX scripting skills.
- Knowledge of Linux (SUSE, RHEL or OEL).
- Good understanding of Storage, Networking & Cloud computing technologies.
- AIX 7.x System Administration (Or the AIX 6.x equivalent).
- AIX 7.x System Advanced Administration (Or the AIX 6.x equivalent).
