At EMIS Health, we work on products within acute, primary and secondary care both across the NHS and private sector, providing integrated, excellent and innovative healthcare IT.
We’re looking for developers to create new and exciting features in our acute products focusing on Medicines Management.
You’ll partner with Business Analysts and Testers to develop new features our customers want, as well as stabilising our current products. In the future we’re are going to migrate our products to Amazon Web Services (AWS) so you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and potentially work on products that focus on different care settings such as GP, Acute and Community care solutions.
We’re a Microsoft house so you’ll regularly be working with ASP.NET, SQL Server and C# so it’s important you bring a good working knowledge of these technologies with you. You will also be required to work on Visual Basic 6 applications from time to time so experience in the technology is also desirable.
The products you work on are used in over 100 hospital trusts in the UK and support the NHS in providing better care to patients. You’ll have the opportunity to go out and visit our customers and see the products you work on in action to gain a clear understanding of the benefits it brings to patients and clinicians alike.
The team you’ll join
You will become part of one of two innovative and supportive agile development teams focused on the Medicines Management Solution. You will get the pleasure of working not only in your local UK team based in Bolton but you will also have the pleasure of working with our colleagues in Chennai, India.
Your role will involve working with other teams across EMIS Group - so there's plenty of people to share their expertise and business knowledge with you!
Who you'll be
We want to make sure you're set for success so the key skills we are looking for in the role are:
Passion for technology
Experience of Visual basic 6 would be desirable
Any experience of working in an agile environment would be great
Superb communication skills both verbally and written are a must
Able to work well as part of a team or on your own if it’s required
