We are seeking engineers to join our 2020 Graduate Development Programme who are driven to deliver the best possible control systems to our customers. You will be focused on delivering Materials selection for Subsea Production Systems from concept through to commissioning. This scope will include general aspects of metallurgy such as coating, corrosion and welding.
This role is focused on evaluation and selection of materials e.g. low alloy steels & corrosion resistant alloys (CRA), manufacturing processes and failure analysis. You will also be required to review materials testing, assessment and analysis of engineering deliveries.

You will need to have a proactive approach to all aspects of your work, working closely with engineers in other disciplines ensuring a system centric approach is taken when developing engineering solutions.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Required Qualifications/Personal Requirements:
Passion for technology and continuous development
Commitment to continuous improvement of products, processes and tools
Ability to conduct materials selection studies and evaluate appropriate CRA selection
Ability to analyse materials and predict material behaviour subject to fabrication methods like casting, forging, welding and heat treatment
Material testing (tensile, bend, impact, hardness etc)
Masters’ Degree level education in Materials/ Metallurgy or similar
Qualifications and Personal Qualities
Understanding Failure investigation & simple Corrosion evaluation
Working knowledge of welding specification and qualification
Fluid compatibility and non-metallic material assessment
Knowledge in relevant industry standards e.g. ISO 13628-6, ISO 21457 and API 6A
