NCG Information and Data Services are seeking to appoint an IT Support Engineer to join our IT Services team at Newcastle College.
Part of the NCG IT Service Team and reporting to the IT Team Leader, you will provide excellent customer service via email, telephone and face to face support to our end users. You will be responsible for providing first and second line support where required.
To be suitable for this role, you will have excellent interpersonal skills, and will be an enthusiastic and motivated team player. You must be able to work efficiently to tight deadlines and be able to balance a high workload with conflicting requirements. You will display excellent organisational skills and approach your work with a methodical and analytical approach.
You should have experience of delivering a consistently high standard of customer service in an IT environment, and a track record of building positive working relationships at all levels of the organisation. You should also have experience of making decisions within your own area of responsibility and working independently without close supervision.
