Job Purpose: - To carry out Transit checks and non-routine rectification under the supervision of the certifying Engineer, cabin inspection, maintenance and repair on passenger and crew seats, galleys, toilets, aircraft cabin equipment, fixtures & fittings associated with the aircraft cabin interior, in accordance with the approved maintenance and company procedures and as per airworthiness/ regulatory requirements. - Maintain the In Flight Entertainment system to ensure optimum serviceability. This includes bite and physical testing, IFE audit inspection, replacement of components and rectification of reported defects. - The Technician, working in shifts, will be responsible for ensuring that aircraft allocated to him are maintained to the highest level. - Carry out refuelling and headset duties. - Carry out station admin and housekeeping duties
Qualifications & Experience: - Completed an apprenticeship or formal training from an approved organisation in Aircraft Maintenance. - Candidates may be asked to supply an Authorised Aircraft Engineers Log Book (CAP 741) or suitably Authorised Company equivalent documents of Aircraft Type and Work Experience - Experience in a civil aircraft-engineering environment including in an airline or an approved aircraft maintenance organization. - Experienced on Boeing B-777-200/300 and/or A380 aircraft preferred. - An in-depth knowledge of maintenance safety, human factors and general engineering practices is an essential requirement. - Full valid UK driving license - Must be fluent in written and spoken English and computer literate Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in The United Kingdom.
