What you'll do
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, ambitious and capable of progressing to senior roles within the organization. The company requires a focused quality engineer who will be responsible for contributing towards, and driving the organization’s quality culture internally and representing the company with its key stakeholders. The role will be heavily involved in the collection, processing and documenting of various data for the quality department and its analysis to identify trends and areas for potential improvement. Liaising with all areas of the business is a core aspect of this role so good communication skills would also be advantageous.
Closely monitor the areas for which you have responsibility to ensure that quality standards are clearly understood, implemented and maintained to the highest levels at all times.
Confirm the effectiveness of internal processes through regular vigorous audit activities as part of the established audit team.
Liaise between internal DNMN departments, to ensure that the quality requirements in all areas are represented and understood clearly.
Provide technical quality control support to all internal departments to ensure company objectives are met.
Develop and implement quality control plans, manage their introduction and monitor effectiveness.
Day to day recording of key information and preparation of reports for input into the daily production meetings.
Maintenance and development of quality databases to enable the correct analysis and conclusions to be made.
Liaising with all areas of the business in matters relating to quality data, it recording and analysis.
Support the business systems engineer with the development and improvement of the business management systems here at Denso Marston.
Support internal quality improvement activities to identify improvement actions and supply data to confirm effectiveness of actions
Identify actions and methods to standardize data collection and reduce time consuming data collection / analysis tasks within the quality department
Able to use Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) easily to prepare reports and data for top management review activities
What you'll need
Good understanding of Quality Management Systems, quality metrics and their implementation within a large business.
Hold a degree in a relevant discipline which has strong emphasis on quality management.
A self-organizer who is able to work under their own initiative
High skill level and understanding of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
An excellent knowledge and understanding of excel and the development of databases using macro’s & pivot tables to enable easy visualization of complex data.
Able to create and prepare PowerPoint presentations for communication to top management on a regular basis
Support the quality department with ad hoc analysis and support where required to analysis and solve problems as and when they occur.
Someone who is keen to learn and grow “on the job” and can handle pressurized environments.
A basic understanding of quality and its important in a large successful company.
Some basic knowledge of business systems, procedures and instructions and the role they play in the business.
Someone with knowledge of current technology and how these can be applied into a business with the goal of reducing admin and time lost inputting data and analyzing the results.
Good team player and flexible approach to work.
Knowledge of quality tools & techniques such as: (8D, SPC, 5WHY)
