We now have an exciting opportunity to join one of the South West's leading employers as a Adoptions Lead to join our team in Exeter.
What will you be doing?
As our Adoptions Lead, you will deliver developer, New Appointee Variation (NAV) and Self Lay (SLP) customer’s water and sewer applications in accordance with industry guidance, service level requirements and Water Industry Act.
You’ll lead a team of Adoption Coordinators in the management and approval of applications from customers relating to codes for adoption submissions. You will be responsible for the evaluation of all new designs produced by developers to ensure they comply with Codes for Adoption, Water industry Act or self-lay accreditation.
The successful Adoptions Lead will represent South West Water at meetings with customers, developers and other interest groups to ensure South West Water position is maintained and supported. You’ll deliver projects in line with the financial rules within the business and wider requirements of Ofwat/Water Industry Act
Additionally, you’ll support the production and ongoing updates of technical guidance and the appropriate governance in place to respond to industry and regulatory change.
What do you need?
NVQ in Town & Country Planning Level 4 or similar
Experience in Customer Service environment
Experience leading a team in a customer focused and target driven environment
An understanding Design and Construction Clean and Waste apparatus
Good knowledge, codes of adoption, building regulations and Construction Design and Management (CDM)
Computing with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office365
Organised and strong decision maker
Ability to prioritise work
Ability to exercise initiative whilst keeping team members and others informed
