OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR: SENIOR SYSTEMS FIELD ENGINEER

THE ROLE: Due to the extent and diverse range of faulting, preventative maintenance and project delivery works carried out within the Property Services Team, we have an opportunity for two senior engineers to support the 4 proposed Systems Field Engineers. These two positions will be responsible for managing the preventative maintenance programs, safety and auditing activities, survey and planning of works and conduit between the Service Desk and Engineers in coordinating works and updating CAMs on status of faults. These positions will support development and performance steering groups in driving forward quality and achieving further efficiencies. Finally, they will lead within the field, project delivery works in reducing outgoing capex costs and supporting 3rd party projects in achieving income for ScotRail. The two positions will report directly to the Senior Systems & Asset Manager.
THE PERSON: We are looking for an experienced engineer with a wide knowledge of Railway Retail and Information Systems within Scotland Railways. The individual will have good organisational skills, capable of managing multiple projects and tasks. Evidence of developing other individuals within a team organisation through appropriate training and support.
Wide railway engineering and terminal operation experience
Capable of effectively and managing multiple projects
Experience in working on Railway Customer Information, Security and Retail Systems
Extensive knowledge of Customer Information, Security, Retail and Networking Systems
Experience of Personal Track Safety Disciplines
Experience in producing Method & Risk Assessment and Work Package Plans
Understanding and experience of Microsoft Office
Understanding and experience of ScotRail CAM System (Training will be provided)
Understanding and experience of Javelin, Vix and FareGo Remote Management Systems (Training will be provided)
This post works a minimum of 35 hours per week. Shift & weekend working involved. Reference Salary £38,013 per annum.
