Following significant investment in key technologies we are looking for a Network Engineer as part of a wider plan to expand capacity within our technical teams.
Individuals in this role are responsible for the design, implementation, management, operational effectiveness, documentation and decommissioning of network infrastructure, topologies, addressing schemes and application platforms used within the organisation.
Successful candidates will be primarily focused on user experience and continuous improvement identifying risks, such as single points of failure and mitigation as part of a team when managing aspects including security, performance, resilience, and reliability. They will be required to work proactively and collaboratively with a focused and friendly group of peers, other IT teams and business users at all levels.
Balancing attention to detail, taking ownership and working safely at pace is a valued asset in an environment that is open to change in line with operational demands. Flexibility is essential and reciprocal, sometimes requiring work outside of office hours in addition to participation in an on-call rota.
Experience of or exposure to management of Solarwinds monitoring solutions and Fortinet infrastructure and software platforms will be an advantage.
