This role reports into the Build Team Leader and Capability Lead working on the UK Secure Customer Account. We are looking for an experienced Engineer with expertise in Microsoft technologies and associated hardware.
The role is based in Erskine with possible visits to client locations and applicants must hold UK SC clearance.
You will apply those skills to:
Utilise a broad spectrum of technologies to manage and maintain multiple hardware and software environments.
Develop and integrate news solutions.
Support internal and external customers.
Apply depth and breadth of technical knowledge and be responsible for the design and scope of deliverables within a field of expertise.
Contribute to knowledge tools and communities, proactively support automation and ensure learnings are shared for reuse.
Core Skills and Experience
PowerShell scripting & automation
MCSA or MCITP (Microsoft Server/Infrastructure)
Understanding of virtual and physical server infrastructure capacity, scaling and operation.
Strong Windows administration, hardening and troubleshooting experience
Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 design and administration.
3rd/4th Line customer support experience
Server hardware fault finding
Willing to have occasional travel to customer sites
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience creating/reviewing technical documents
Storage Skills – SAN/NAS
HPE or Dell Storage array experience
Windows Server, Remote Desktop Services, Citrix XenApp, VDI
