We have a significant number of existing clients and project work and are going through an exciting growth period. We need to develop and expand our engineering capability. The type of work you might be involved in will vary considerably; from multi-million-pound highway improvements to town centre regeneration projects, bus priority schemes, cycle ways, public realm enhancements and many more. You will be fully supported to develop into a highly competent design engineer. You will be responsible for preparing preliminary and detailed designs to DMRB standards using industry standard packages such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. You will work on several projects at a time to deliver within budget and programme constraints.
You will currently be at the start of your career leaving university, or in a similar role with limited experience and looking for your next career move. Ideally you should have a relevant academic background or 1 to 2 years’ experience within Highways Engineering or AutoCAD design.

We are flexible on location depending on where you live and wish to be based, with roles in our West region from our Slough office base, or in central London. We embrace flexible working and are happy to accommodate part home working, but with the understanding that you will need to form close working relationships, learn on the job from your experienced colleagues, and undertake site work.
Requirements of role:
Support the delivery of highways and civil engineering designs for a range of highways related projects.
Apply knowledge of highways design standards and assist to develop schemes from inception through to completion.
Ensure that project tasks are managed within their respective budgets.
Respond to client and customer requests and enquiries (including internal customers)
Be flexible - carry out any duties as and when required for the good of the company.
Develop self in accordance with Personal Training Plan
You will have:
A Degree / Masters / HNC in Civil Engineering or other relevant technical qualification.
Willingness to work towards professional membership ICE/CIHT.
Expert or intermediate CAD user / Civils 3D user
Full, clean driver’s Licence
