Gas Recover and Recycle Limited (GR2L) is a micro SME located in Surrey just North of Gatwick airport. We manufacture gas purification systems to recover, purify and return clean gas back to the customer process, in a closed loop manner. Our equipment is used to recycle argon and helium purge gases used in the manufacture of solar cells, microelectronic chips and in 3D metal printing. The purification systems use a unique, and patented, purification technology developed in collaboration with Cambridge University Engineering Dept. based around a chemical looping combustion reaction vessel that oxidises impurities to CO2 and H2O which are then removed by a molecular sieve leaving high purity gas, 99.9999% pure, to be returned to the customer process tool. We have an Innovate UK grant to develop a new product to broaden our application base and we are looking for an Intern to work with us on the final testing and qualification of this innovative gas purification system. The job is a full time appointment for an initial 3 months starting Oct 1st with the possibility of extending the role for a further 3 months. We are looking for a minimum of a degree level graduate within the chemical/physical sciences who is able to work on their own initiative within our small development team to assist with the final testing of the equipment, process the results and help prepare marketing/promotion materials. The internship is part funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
