Essential Functions
Working within the Telford Engineering team, this role will be responsible for supporting the design, development and implementation of customer applications. The successful candidate must be able effectively complete customer analysis to develop applications that respond to customer needs and provide innovative solutions to customer problems in relation to fasteners and fastener systems. This role will primarily focus on renewable energy projects.
Specific Responsibilities
Actively manage commercial engineering projects in collaboration with the European HFS Sales Team based on customer needs, with the support of the engineering and manufacturing teams.
Assist in identifying, analysing and penetrating of market segments.
Co-ordinate with the sales and marketing team to develop and implement methods for accurately assessing customer satisfaction levels.
Liaise with customers, distributors, marketing, sales, engineering and manufacturing for the most effective and profitable delivery of products.
Evaluate, co-ordinate and recommend ideas and provide suggestions for new products through careful market evaluation and technical expertise.
Work with customers to prepare the implementation of HFS Industrial products into their applications.
Support sales and marketing team, in co-ordination with engineering and manufacturing, with technical information
Works with product engineers and sales team to build and analyse cost price for new and special products to maximise volume and profitability. Support marketing to perform margin analysis on existing products
Visit strategic customers, establish and increase our position in correlation with their projects and goals. Help external sales with engineering information in preparing their customer visits and attend if requested.
Use our academic links we have to universities, institutes and organisations to promote our technology and gain knowledge for our projects about trends in technique and applications
Provide the main customer interface between sales and Engineering/Production. Link the Applications Engineering function with Sales and Product Engineering/ Manufacturing
Provide technical training to sales team and customer
Provide market / trend /competition information to sales and engineering with recommendations for management decisions.
Ensure data and technical support is available for customer trials. Provide technical literature.
Maintain and develop links with Technical Service function at HFS headquarter in Waco/ Texas

Experience & Background.
At least 5yrs Post Graduate experience in a Customer Engineering type role
Experience of working within the green energy/renewable sector highly desirable
A background in the fastener/nut & bolt industry advantageous
English language

Qualifications
Education
Degree in Engineering or HNC and equivalent industry experience
