We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Team.
We are looking for an experienced Engineer to support in the planning, forecasting and management of all technical activities aiming to ensure project accuracy and quality from inception to completion. They will also be required to work with other engineers to deliver bespoke equipment and control systems to meet project specifications.
Hours: 40 hours
Contract type: Fulltime Permanent
Location base: Cookstown. The role will involve travel, the majority of which will be in the UK and Ireland.
Our ideal candidate will have (the essentials):
Minimum 2.2 Honours degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related subject.
Minimum of 2 years post-graduation relevant experience in a similar role
Proficient in 3D CAD software, including the ability to generate complex 3D CAD assemblies and drawings.
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in MS Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, Project
Ability to be flexible and adaptable as the role will involve travel, the majority of which will be in the UK and Ireland.
A full current driving licence and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
What we would like (but not essential):
Experience working in water & wastewater industries.
Experience working in fabrication environments.
Experience working in process engineering.
3 years or more post-graduate relevant experience.
Knowledge of control panels, PLCs, and electrical systems.
Knowledge chemical dosing systems.
What you will be doing:
Development and writing of technical specifications, Design risk assessments, Engineers reports and method statements as per the document control process.
Create design data to customer requirements including Drawings, Calculations, BOM, Equipment Schedules, P & IDs
Use Solidworks, Draftsight, AutoCAD, FEA software to create fabrication drawings for suppliers
Create installation drawings for the construction team.
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned projects, reporting to line supervisor and client.
Development of projects from conceptual design to completion.
Ensure assigned Project is delivered on time and to budget.
Coordinate the documentation and drawings between various parties.
Source suppliers and create specifications for components and equipment
Assist in the planning and coordination of onsite installation.
Cooperate and communicate with clients and other project participants to interpret their needs and requirements and present solutions/options on an ongoing basis.
Writing and reviewing of testing, operation, and maintenance procedures and provide documentation for O&M manuals.
Liaise with sales department to provide technical information to support and inform marketing campaigns.
Assist with preparation of tenders and quotes.
Responsibility for the testing and commissioning of individual components in compliance with client specification in workshop and/or on site.
Deliver and record training for clients in the safe operation of machinery.
Monitor and ensure compliance to meet Health and Safety codes, Environmental Standards, other codes and best practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Manage overall quality control of project and report as required on project status.
